This year we decided to use crayon shaving to decorate own Easter eggs.
They were alot of work, but they were pretty.
Easter morning dawned, the Easter bunny arrived.
A whole pail full of eggs. Plastic that is. While getting ready for church, Matthew came in and said, "Mom did the Easter Bunny really come or did you hide those eggs, because they were the same eggs we bought!" I had to make up an excuse about how the parents buy the eggs and the bunny fills and hides them. Then he said, "What I want to know is where is the eggs we dyed!" So I told him they were safe in the fridge. Well he was all bent out of shape because he wanted to hunt them too. So, I think Matthew doesn't really believe in the bunny anymore.
Easter egg hunt at church.
Posing with all the other kids.
After church we went to a big buffet for lunch and Matthew got his napkin all ready to dig in! That was the last beautiful day. It's been rainy and cold ever since. We had snowflakes in the air Thurs.
He is a very smart boy; maybe he will still enjoy hunting for eggs even when he really figures out you are the Easter Bunny!!!! I love the crayon Easter Eggs.
ReplyDeleteLook at all those short sleeves in the Easter pictures and think of all the snow and cold we've had since! So nice that the kids could get outside for their egg hunts! Mom
