Christmas and New Year

Is it too late to talk about Christmas?  Probably you all are screaming yes, but since this is my family diary of sorts you get to bare with me.  Since last year Matthew wanted a remote control robot and there was none to be had in the land, he got a remote control 4wheeler.  By April he announced sadly, that last year he was so bad that Santa didn't bring him what he wanted.  Talk about breaking a mom's heart.  This year I vowed there would be no such failure again.  I said what do you want Mom and Dad to give you more then anything?  Spiderman dart board.  What do you want Santa to bring you more then anything?  Bow and suction cup arrow set with quiver.  Thy will will be done.

He was so excited to get it!  Santa loves him this year, he knew it!  When asked, he got everything he wanted.  He is still telling people about the bow and arrow set.  Thank goodness!

Christmas Day saw us visiting Great Mamaw and Matthew entertained himself with a tissue beard.

The old gal opening her sock.  She turned 95 last weekend.

So a few days after Christmas Matthew hatched a plan.  He was going to make a deer trap.  Once he got a deer in the yard he was going to shoot it with his arrows for food.  Alrightly then.  Here is the sign so the deer know where to head.

And here is the yummy baited trap.  One day they will come, eat an apple slice, and be pelted by suction cup arrows...

This New Year's Eve it snowed so we all stayed in and up playing games till midnight.  Here are the boys at midnight.  Happy 2013 you all!

First Christmas concert

Matthew had his first Christmas concert on Dec 4th.  Yeah, I know, like 10 million years ago.  Why haven't I shared?  I'll tell you.  I've been pouting.  The photos I took blurred.  The videos I shot of the cutest kindergartener singing (and believe me, he practiced his little heart out before hand) refuses to upload.

Yeah, the Christmas play he was in at church, it won't upload either.  So I've been pouting.

But like any mature adult, I must stop and move on.  So enjoy my less then ideal photos of the concert.

Wish you all could have been there.

Second lost tooth!

The neighbor, that he cut at the same time as the first lost tooth, fell out Jan. 16th.  He was so causal about it.  I had to ask if it fell out.  "Oh yeah, it did.  It fell out somewhere between music and gym class."  So where is it I wanted to know.  "Oh, in the hallway somewhere I guess..."  He had a good toothfairy; she paid out anyway.
